Product Focus Business Analyst
Full time - Guildford
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join the Product Team. We are undertaking a significant product upgrade project which will expedite our continued growth. You will be working on all stages of the product lifecycle from idea to delivery and beyond. You will be responsible for gathering requirements from business stakeholders and domain experts. You will be required to translate the requirements into workable solutions. This will be done in parallel with the Technical Architect and CTO. You should be capable of preparing clear and concise technical specifications. These should be created using industry standard stories and acceptance criteria. Also, you will work alongside our Quality Assurance team. This will entail ensuring that improvements released are of the highest quality. This is a highly focused role. It has been created to ensure the smooth delivery of the product upgrade project. This is a permanent role which will move to focus on delivering the post-project roadmap.
You will be given a high level of autonomy in this role and will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer. Our office is based 5 minutes from Guildford railway station. You should be comfortable working in a mature and collaborative manner and have no issue in conversing with non-technical employees across multiple time zones.
Full-Time - Bromsgrove
You will be responsible for the generation of new business appointments for a team of Strategic Account Managers.
To achieve this your primary objective will be to make outgoing calls from a quality database to senior decision makers.
You will employ your sales experience, negotiation skills, and professional manner to identify the most viable business opportunities, overcome objections and be proactive within the role to accomplish your goals.
Managing your data set on a day to day basis is imperative, ensuring the CRM data is maintained, improved and constantly updated.
You are highly organised, a great communicator, willing to learn, energetic, driven, and competitive. You are able to form strong business relationships as you support our prospects in discovering the full potential of our platform.
- Knowledge of the energy sector is useful but not essential
- You’ll be open to change and eager to learn, with a good affinity for technology
- This position is predominantly phone based, so you will be polite and have a friendly B2B telephone manner
- You’ll have excellent communication skills, able to persuade and negotiate
- You’ll be proven in building long-standing working relationships

Account Manager (Immediate start)
As an account manager, you’ll be part of a growing team dedicated to providing optimal service to our customers through multiple service deliveries, across energy procurement, management, and complementary processes.

You’ll have daily contact with our customers and our sales and marketing team and a crucial role to play in OEM’s rapid growth as the leading commercial energy buying marketplace in the UK.
You are looking to take a step up, bringing your experience to an energy tech company actively changing the way companies buy and manage their energy. Ideally, you’ll have 3 – 5 years’ experience in the energy industry. You'll have great familiarity with energy procurement processes, terminology, and major players. You'll be an excellent communicator, team player and organiser, managing a varied workload that, from time to time, may take you across the country to meet our customers face-to-face.
Pricing Analyst (Immediate start)
Procurement is at the heart of what Open Energy Market do, and pricing is at the centre of that. Of course, it’s not that simple: OEM’s proposition and ambitious plans for the future requires a market leading grasp of pricing that can be fed into every part of the process.
Reporting to our Head of Energy, you’ll have exposure to the front-end of the business, working closely with OEM’s Account Management team and wider commercial departments to form a strong, compelling and lasting approach to pricing analysis.
From industry analysis to keeping track of our rapidly expanding data sets, all elements of pricing need to be kept under constant review. And that that comes with the implementation of strict processes and an excellent understanding of our business and the sector we work in.
Sitting close to contract tendering transactions, and every deal we win, forging strong links with every part of our commercial business chain from our partner network to marketing, this is an exciting and pivotal role crucial to OEM’s continued rapid development.
You are highly organised, possess strong commercial awareness, and have the ability to undertake in-depth analysis that you can convey clearly to the wider procurement team and business. As comfortable working with historic analysis as planning for the future, you have a passion for improving processes and developing models that will support OEM’s unique proposition of energy consulting and SAAS/PAAS delivery.
Junior Finance Analyst
No significant work experience is required. This is an entry level role for someone whose exceptional attributes give them the potential to become a leader in our business in a short period of time.
